I’ve been working at nei for about 7 years now. I started as soon as I graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam, and I’ve been here ever since. I was drawn to nei because I saw opportunities to learn and grow with the company. I also liked nei’s focus on helping small farmers – I come from the same background – and commitment to supporting young people, continuous improvement and sustainability.

As the Engineering and R&D Lead, I oversee a variety of projects focused on improving our production processes, developing new products and their production lines, and making operations more efficient. I’m also in charge of implementing our environmental policy, particularly sustainable waste management and emissions control. As the company is growing very fast, I need to balance the demands of ongoing operations with the need for flexibility and innovative, sustainable long-term solutions.

I learn new things every day through research and by working with my colleagues. At nei, there is no such thing as “this is your problem”. We face, tackle and learn from challenges together.
