We’re delighted to announce that our social enterprise has achieved B Corp Certification. With a score of 120 – far surpassing the required threshold of 80 points – nei has joined a global movement that champions high standards of environmental and social performance.
To get B Corp Certified, we underwent a comprehensive audit to ensure that our business meets B Lab™ standards for social and environmental impact across five key areas – workers, governance, customers, environment, and community – with high scores achieved across the board.
“The rigorous B Lab assessment, alongside certifications like Rainforest Alliance, provides tangible evidence of our focus on continuous improvement, especially regarding sustainability. These certifications support our premium positioning in the market, ensuring accountability, transparency and high quality standards for the crops we source from farmers and cooperatives,” highlights Jackson Omondi, Sustainability Advisor.
B Corp Certification confirms our commitment to delivering both high-quality products and meaningful impact, already highlighted by certifications relating to sourcing and production (Rainforest Alliance) and continuous improvement (EcoVadis). We are currently preparing additional certifications, including Organic and Fairtrade, to further reinforce trust and stringent standards. So our customers know they are choosing premium sustainably sourced ingredients from a company that creates shared value for all stakeholders.
